KENDA Nevegal DTC Tire – 26in Black, 2.35 Review

When you find yourself sitting trailside, and ground conditions are those that retain tread marks, you’re bound to spot a Nevegal that left its signature. That popularity is because Kenda’s Nevegal, like this lightweight 26in DTC model, are favored for its acute balance of traction and speed. Part of the balance is due to the DTC rubber compound and part iconic tread pattern. DTC stands for dual tread compound and features Stick-E (50a) rubber on the side and 60a durometer rubber along the center for better wear. To offset the loss of traction from a harder rubber compound along the tire’s center, Kenda uses ramped knobs that bite, while permitting efficient rolling properties. The side knobs are not ramped, but plentiful and well spaced to grip confidently at extreme lean angles. The rubber is supported by a 120tpi casing to keep weight low and ride quality extra smooth.
